The official said that a notification in this regard was issued by the Transport and Road Safety Department on Wednesday. Accordingly, to promote the use of electric vehicles in the state, the state government is notifying REVP 2022. This policy will be applicable for a period of five years with effect from September 1, 2022. Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot had approved this policy on 24 May this year. Under this, the government has approved the proposed one-time contribution on the purchase of such vehicles and an additional budget provision of Rs 40 crore for State Goods and Services Tax (SGST) recharge. It is noteworthy that the Chief Minister had announced the introduction of Electric Vehicle Policy in the budget for the year 2019-20.
