Union Minister of State for Finance Pankaj Chaudhary presided over the passing out parade of the 75th batch of Indian Revenue Service (Customs & Indirect Taxes) officers at NACIN, Palasamudram. The batch included 42 officers (25 men and 17 women) and five officers from the Royal Government of Bhutan. The event, also attended by CBIC Chairman Sanjay Kumar Agarwal, Member Aruna Narayan Gupta, and NACIN Director General Dr. M. Subramanyam, commenced with a moment of silence for the victims of the Pahalgam incident.
Minister Chaudhary emphasized the officers’ role in building a transparent tax system and advancing the government’s vision of “Viksit Bharat.” Chairman Agarwal highlighted their importance in revenue mobilization, trade facilitation, and national development. Member Gupta stressed ethical conduct and a service-oriented mindset. Director General Subramanyam noted this batch was the first to complete foundational training at the newly developed NACIN Palasamudram campus.
During the ceremony, Sreekumar Ravindrakumar, Abhishek Maji, Pooja Barwal, Shantanu Sunil Malani, and Sathya Parvathy R. received gold medals for their outstanding achievements in various areas. The parade demonstrated the officers’ professionalism, and the event concluded with a pledge to uphold integrity and service.
