A PAN card is one of the most important documents and carries equivalent importance as an Aadhaar card. It is a 10-digit alphanumeric number and is given to only those who are eligible to hold it. It is required to be submitted for filing IT returns, buying a new house/property or to open a bank account, etc.
There are two official platforms through which the applicant can apply for a PAN card, one is NSDL and the other is UTIITSL. Not just applying for a PAN card, through any of the given platforms, the applicant can also track the PAN card status, re-apply for a PAN card, link the Aadhaar card to the PAN card, download it, etc. In case, the applicant opts for a PAN card offline, he/she can do the same by connecting with the authorized PAN Centre. How to Check PAN Status through Telephone?
The applicant can check the PAN card status through a call. All he/she requires is to follow the given instructions-
- Call the TIN call centre on 020-27218080
- Provide the 15-digit acknowledgement number to the executive
- The executive will provide you with your PAN card status
How to Check PAN Card Status through SMS?
Other than checking the PAN card status by calling the official PAN official, there is another to check the PAN status, i.e- via SMS. for the same, the applicant is required to follow the given instructions carefully-
- Send an SMS to NSDL PAN and 15-digit acknowledgement number to 57575
- The applicant will be provided with the PAN card status via SMS
