Gujarat has topped the Export Preparedness Index 2021 of NITI Aayog. Maharashtra and Karnataka are in second and third place in this index. This information was given in the report released on Friday by the government’s think tank NITI Aayog.

Export readiness: The index measures the preparedness of states in terms of export prospects and performance. Tamil Nadu and Haryana are also included in the first five states in this index. Releasing this index on Friday, NITI Aayog Vice Chairman Rajiv Kumar said that this will help the states and union territories to formulate and implement the right policy for exports.

This is the second time in a row that the state of Gujarat has ranked first in NITI Aayog’s Export Readiness Index 2021. According to the index, Gujarat’s export preparedness is at 78.86 points, while Maharashtra is in second place with 77.14 points. Last time also Maharashtra was present at number two in this index.

Delhi ranks first among union territories

Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana are also included in this list in the top 10. Among the Union Territories, Delhi is at the first place. This is followed by Goa, Jammu and Kashmir, Chandigarh and Puducherry. Among the states located in the Himalayas, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Tripura, Sikkim and Manipur are in the top five.
