The Finance Ministry’s tweet states, “The interest rates of small savings schemes will remain the same as the rates in the last quarter of this financial year.” The Ministry has also said that the order for reduction in interest rates was issued by mistake. It is being withdrawn.
Interest rates of small savings schemes of GoI shall continue to be at the rates which existed in the last quarter of 2020-2021, ie, rates that prevailed as of March 2021.
