Corporate Ministry directs to register all complaints against companies in electronic registry

In an effort to prevent possible incidents of unauthorized communication targeting stakeholders, the Ministry of Corporate Affairs has directed the Registrar of Companies and Regional Directors to register all complaints received against companies and Limited Liability Partnerships (LLPs) in the electronic registry of the Ministry. Have given.

After entering all the information in the electronic registry ‘MCA21’, a Service Request Number (SRN) is generated for each complaint and then this number is used for every communication related to that matter.

The Ministry has informed all stakeholders that the Registrar of Companies (ROC) and Regional Directors (RDs) at all locations have been directed to report all matters relating to complaints, inspections, inquiries, investigations and prosecutions against companies and LLPs MCA21 and only after that any letter, notice or order be issued.

A senior official said the mechanism has been put in place to prevent exploitation of stakeholders by fraudulent elements. He said that by having SRN in all communication, the stakeholders will also know that the communication they have received is authoritative.

MCA21 is an important portal for submission of statutory filings in the Ministry.
