Employees will get good news at the end of March! There will be a bumper jump in salary, know how much will increase

7th Pay Commission. Central employees can get good news soon. According to the latest media reports, the Modi government may increase the fitment factor before March 31. If the fitment factor increases by the end of March, then the basic salary of the employees can increase by 50 thousand. With the increase in the fitment factor, the basic salary of the employees will go up to 26000. This will benefit about 52 lakh employees. However, there has been no confirmation or official statement from the government.

In fact, for a long time, there has been a demand by the central employees to increase the fitment factor from 2.57 to 3.68. The employees say that the fitment factor should be increased to 3.68 times, so that the minimum basic salary of government employees can be increased from Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000. The employees with the same maximum salary will get more increase. If the Modi government accepts the demand of the employees, then their basic salary will directly increase by about Rs 8,000. The last time the fitment factor was increased 6 years ago in 2016 and the basic salary increased from 6000 to 18000 rupees.

According to media reports, the Modi government may soon increase the fitment factor of the employees. Let us tell you that the basic salary of the employees is calculated by multiplying the fitment factor 2.57 times of the 7th Pay Commission. If the fitment factor is increased by 3.68 times from 2.57 times to 3.68 times then the basic salary will go straight from 18000 to 26000. The entry level basic pay was raised from Rs 7,000 per month to Rs 18,000 per month, while the highest level i.e. secretary was raised from Rs 90,000 to Rs 2.5 lakh after the 7th Pay Commission recommendations were approved with 34 amendments in June 2017. The starting salary for Class 1 officers was Rs 56,100.

The fitment factor decides the basic pay of all central employees. The special thing is that due to its increase, dearness allowance and other allowances also automatically increase.

Due to this factor, the salary of central employees increases by more than two and a half times.

Apart from the allowances, the salary of central employees is determined by their basic salary and fitment factor.

If the fitment factor increases from 2.57 per cent to 3.68 per cent, then the salary will increase by Rs 8,000 directly. That is, the basic salary of the employees will increase directly to Rs 26,000.

For example, if the minimum salary of a government employee is Rs 18,000, he will get Rs 46,260 (18,000 X 2.57 = 46,260) salary excluding all allowances as per 2.57 fitment factor.

There will be different increase in the salary of different level of employees. For example, if the fitment factor increases from 2.57 to 3.68, then the same salary will be Rs 95,680 (26000X3.68 = 95,680). That is, the employees with the maximum salary will get more increase.

This means that the overall salary of the employees will increase by Rs 49,420. If the basic pay increases from Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000, then the dearness allowance will also increase.
