Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhwinder Singh has taken a big decision in the cabinet meeting. The employees who have been appointed in Himachal since May 15, 2003, will be given old pension. The government will also give the option of staying in the new pension (NPS), the employees who want to take advantage of the old pension scheme will have to give consent in writing. By implementing the old pension, an additional annual expenditure of about 1000 crores will be incurred on the state.
