Now more than 80 crore people will get free food grains under NFSA.

Giving information about the cabinet meeting, Union Minister Piyush Goyal said that the government has extended the free ration for one year to 80 crore people of the country under the National Food Security Act. This will put an additional burden of Rs 2 lakh crore on the central government. The Union Minister told that the poor will not have to pay a single rupee for ration. The government is spending Rs 2 lakh crore every year on this scheme.
