State Bank of India (SBI) customers will have to pay more for annualmaintenance charges of debit cards,according to its official website. SBI hashiked the annual charges for cardcategories including Classic, Silver, Global and Contactless. The country’s largest bankhas hiked maintenance charges by Rs 75 across debit card categories. An additional GST will be charged on the revised fee amount.

- State Bank of India has also introduced aRs 25+ GST fee on enquiry made at ATMsfor international transaction charges.
- The bank will also charge a minimum ofRs 100 for ATM cash withdrawal. Thecharges can go up to 3.5 per cent of thetransaction.
- Customers will have to pay Rs 50 + GSTfor duplicate pin
- Point of sale or e-commerce transactionswill be charged 3 per cent of thetransaction amount + GST
- The goods and services tax rate for all ofthe above transactions and services is 18per cent.
SBI credit card changes
- The country’s largest lender has alsorevised the criteria for reward pointsaccrual on credit cards effective April 1,2024.
- Certain SBI credit card users will not beable to earn reward points for rentpayments made on or after April 1, 2024.
- Points earned for previous rent paymentsmade using SBI credit cards will alsoexpire on April 15. 2024.
