Speaking on the occasion of Punjab Day, the Chief Minister said that ‘Mission Clean’ has been launched to eliminate corruption to instil public confidence in the government. Channi said, “The days of mining mafia are over and police personnel have been deputed to ensure the sale of sand at the rate of Rs 9 per cubic feet.
He said with a view to strengthen the cooperative institutions, all financial transactions of the government would be done through cooperative banks only. He said in the next 15 days entire money of the government would be transferred to the cooperative banks.
