A vehicle will not be able to purchase more than 200 liters of diesel at a time from a retail petrol pump. There is absolutely no need for panic; after all, our personal vehicles do not have fuel tanks large enough to hold that much fuel.
In fact, commercial customers had started purchasing large quantities from retail outlets to take advantage of the price difference between retail and wholesale rates. This was causing inconvenience to ordinary consumers like us.
That is why the government has imposed this restriction and has also stopped commercial customers from making purchases at retail outlets.
This decision is temporary and will remain in effect for 90 days.
