Before Holi, the Modi government can increase the Dearness Allowance by 3 percent. The government can increase the DA of 3 percent. This increase will be considered effective from January 1, 2022. If this happens, about Rs 38,600 can come in the salary bank account of the employees.
At present, the total Dearness Allowance (DA) is 31 percent, which may increase to 34 percent. With the government increasing the DA by 3 percent, it will become 34 percent. It will be implemented from January 1, 2022 i.e. the employees can get the allowance for the month of January and February along with arrears in the salary for the month of March.
Salary will be available with arrears
According to media reports, the full salary will be paid to the employees in the month of March, which will also include DA arrears. This DA arrears will be for the salary of January and February.

If the basic salary of an employee is Rs 18000, then at the rate of 34 per cent, Rs 6120 will be available for a month. 12,240 as arrears for two months will get the extra DA arrears in the salary for the month of March. Apart from this, dearness allowance at the rate of 34 per cent will be Rs 19346 per month on the basic salary of Rs 56900. That is, the arrears of two months will be around Rs 38,692.
