TVS has introduced an updated version of its electric scooter iQube.

The demand for electric scooters for everyday use is increasing rapidly due to rising petrol prices. Although there are many electric scooters in the market, but recently the leading two-wheeler company TVS has introduced an updated version of its electric scooter iQube.

The company has made many major changes in this electric scooter, which make it much better than the previous model. Apart from this, the running cost of this scooter is also very low in terms of daily use. The initial launch of this scooter coming in two variants

 The price is Rs 1.67 lakh.

Variants and Price:

The base iQube variant of TVS iQube is priced at Rs 1,67,130 (ex-showroom, Delhi), excluding face subsidy. After the FAME subsidy, its price comes down by Rs 51,000 and its cost comes down to just Rs 99,130. At the same time, the price of iQube S variant is Rs 1,77,256 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). In this, after subsidy, its price in Delhi goes up to Rs 1,09,256 lakh.

Very low running cost:

According to the information given on the company’s official website, the TVS iQube electric scooter only needs to be charged twice a week and the daily cost is just Rs 3. However, the company has done this calculation on the daily drive of 20 km and electricity cost of Rs 5 per unit. In many states of the country, the electricity rate is around Rs 5 per unit. In the month of May, the company introduced its long range ST variant, whose booking is currently closed and its delivery will start from the month of August.

TVS iQube battery and performance:

The company has used an electric motor of 4.4kW capacity in this scooter, which generates peak torque of 140Nm. The company claims that its S variant gives a driving range of up to 100 km on a single charge and has a top speed of 78 km per hour. This scooter is much better in terms of pickup, according to the claim, this scooter is capable of catching 40 kilometers per hour in just 4.2 seconds. On the other hand, the top speed of the ST variant is 82 km per hour and in a single charge, this scooter gives a driving range of up to 145 km.

The iCube comes with two riding modes, Eco and Power. The base model has a 3.04kWh lithium-ion battery pack. The ST model, on the other hand, gets a bigger 4.56kWh capacity battery pack, which gives a driving range of 145km. The scooter comes with 650W and 950W onboard fast chargers, with which the S variant can fully charge in just 4.5 hours or charge the battery pack from 0 to 80 percent in 2 hours 50 minutes. The ST variant gets a 950W or 1.5kW charger that can charge the battery pack from 0-80 percent in 4 hours six minutes or 2.5 hours depending on the charger used.

The TVS iQube electric scooter features an all-LED lighting system, a TFT instrument cluster with smartphone connectivity. Using this, you can access features like navigation assist, geo-fencing, range, charge status, ride stats and overspeed alert. The standard variant gets a 5-inch display while the S gets a 7-inch unit with a 5-way joystick on the left switchgear. The top-end ST variant gets a 7-inch touchscreen display as well as a joystick. The company has also given a USB charging port and a boot light in it and has also given 32-litres of underseat storage space.
