Maruti Grand Vitara is the company’s first hybrid compact SUV, which the company has recently introduced. The company will present this hybrid car in the market with two engine options and the hybrid system used in this SUV will be based on the Toyota Urban Cruiser Highrider.
The two options that the company is going to give in the engine of this SUV, the first engine will be 1.5-liter petrol mild hybrid and the second engine will be 1.5-liter petrol strong hybrid. With both these engines, the company can be given self-charging technology and three drive modes.
The company has started booking this hybrid SUV, which customers can book by visiting the company’s official website or visiting the Nexa dealership. The company has not disclosed the price of this car, but according to reports, its price can range from Rs 9 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) to Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder
The Urban Cruiser Highrider is the second lowest priced hybrid SUV in the country after the Maruti Vitara. The company has given the option of two engines in this car. The company is launching this SUV in the market with four trims.
The first engine in this is a 1.5 liter petrol engine which generates power of 116 PS. With the mild hybrid system, this engine generates 102 PS of power and 137 Nm of peak torque.
This engine is mated to a 5 speed manual and 6 speed automatic gearbox with which all wheel drive will be available. ECVT transmission will be given with its strong hybrid system.
Honda City Hybrid Honda City Hybrid E: HEV
Honda Cars India has recently introduced the hybrid version of this Honda City in the Indian market. The company has launched only one variant of it, ZX. The starting price of Honda City Hybrid is Rs 19.49 Lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
1.5 liter petrol engine has been given in Honda City Hybrid. This engine generates 98 PS of power and 127 Nm of peak torque. Twin electric motor has been paired with this engine, with which this engine generates power of 126 PS and peak torque of 253 Nm.
A battery pack of 0.7 kWh capacity has been given with this engine. The company has paired the E CVT automatic gearbox with this engine. As per ARAI certified mileage, the car covers 26.5 kms on 1 liter of oil.
