Mahindra introduced the Scorpio N in India on 27 June 2022 and buyers are waiting for its delivery. Mahindra has said that it will deliver 7,000 units of the Scorpio N during the first 10 days of Navratri festivities. After this, the target has been set to deliver 25,000 units by November. Thus the total deliveries will be only 1/4 of the initial 1 lakh bookings received for the Scorpio-N.
Let us tell you that the Scorpio N received 25,000 bookings in just one minute and 1 lakh bookings in less than 30 minutes. Thus the Scorpio-N currently holds the record for the fastest to reach 1 lakh bookings due to the Scorpio-N’s design, performance and equipment inventory etc. It has been introduced in India at a starting price of Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Mahindra Scorpio N is offered in five variants with Z2, Z4, Z6, Z8 and Z8L in the country and if we talk about its waiting list then the waiting list of both the diesel petrol variants on the same variant is equal.
Mahindra Scorpio N Z2 has a waiting period of 90-95 weeks for the petrol variant and 90-95 weeks for the diesel variant. Similarly, there is a waiting period of 95 to 100 weeks for the Z4 variant, while there is a waiting period of 100 to 105 weeks for the Z6. Similarly, there is a waiting period of 100 to 105 weeks for the Z8 variant. On the other hand, buyers will have to wait for 85 to 90 weeks for the Z8L variant.

Coming to the powertrain, the Scorpio-N 2.0-litre petrol engine develops 200 Bhp of power and 370 Nm of torque. At the same time, the 2.2 liter diesel engine develops 130 bhp power and 300 torque in the lower variant. On the other hand, it develops 172 bhp power and 370 Nm torque in other variants. Manual and automatic gearbox options are available with both the engines.
The lower diesel variants are rear-wheel powered only while the turbocharged high-end diesel variants come with RWD and 4WD variant options. The 4WD system features electric shift-on-fly 4xPlor technology with traction modes such as sand, mud, grass and snow – 4 low and 4 high gear options.
The list of features includes an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, wireless charging, 18-inch alloy wheels, dual zone climate control, seven-inch TFT MID, coffee black leather upholstery, in- AdrenoX, sunroof, navigation, drive mode, LED sequential turn indicators etc. are available with built-in Amazon Alexa. On the other hand, safety features include 6-airbags, ISOFIX child seat mount, hill hold control, hill descent assist, traction control, EBD with ABS, rear parking camera and driver sleep detection alert system.
