alexa plus ai

Amazon has unveiled its latest innovation, Alexa+, an enhanced version of its AI-powered digital assistant, now accessible via the web. Announced at CES 2026 in Las Vegas, the official launch of Alexa.com is now rolling out to Alexa+ Early Access customers, transforming the way users interact with their smart assistant online. This new platform allows customers to engage with Alexa+ similarly to other AI chatbots like ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini.

Why Alexa+ is Essential for Modern Life

With over 600 million Alexa-powered devices sold worldwide, including the popular Echo smart speakers and screens, Amazon recognizes that to stay competitive, it must ensure Alexa+ is available everywhere – not just in the home, but also on mobile devices and the web. This strategic expansion means that users can interact with Alexa+, even without a physical device at home.

Enhanced Mobile Experience

In addition to the web experience, Amazon is revamping its Alexa mobile app. The updated app will now feature a more “agent-forward” experience, emphasizing a chatbot-style interface on the homepage. While chatting with Alexa was previously possible, this update shifts the focus to a more seamless conversational experience, allowing users to engage more naturally.
