Fourth phase of District Development Council (DDC) elections and Panchayat by-polls in Jammu & Kashmir to be organized today
In Jammu and Kashmir, all arrangements have been completed for the fourth phase of District Development Council (DDC) elections and Panchayat. As per reports, there are 34 DDC constituencies including 17 each from Jammu and Kashmir divisions which will go to poll in this phase. Besides, by-polls to 50 vacant Sarpanch seats and 216 vacant Panch seats will also be conducted.The polling will take place from 7 AM to 2 PM. In view of Covid-19 pandemic, adequate arrangements have been put in place to ensure safety of the polling personnel as well as voters. Special polling stations have also been set up at Jammu and Udhampur to facilitate voting by Kashmiri migrants.
