In Italian open tennis, top-seeded Simona Halep of Romania lifted the title as Czech player Karolína Pliskova retired half way following injury in the finals played this evening at Rome. Halep was leading 6-0, 2-1 when Pliskova retired hurt. Meanwhile, in Men’s singles final, world No. 1 Novak Djokovic is clashing with Diego Schwartzman of Argentina for the title. In the semi final match, Schwartzman defeated Canadian Denis Shapovalov 6-4, 5-7, 7-6. While, Djokovic reached the final after a 7-5, 6-3 victory over
Casper Rudd of Norway.
