Renewable energy solutions provider Suzlon Group announced on Friday that it has secured a substantial order for a 201.6 MW wind energy project from Teq Green Power XI, a division of O2 Power.

Suzlon will not only supply the wind turbine equipment but also manage the entire project, including erection and commissioning. Furthermore, the company will provide post-commissioning operation and maintenance services.

The Suzlon 3 MW series represents the next stage of evolution for their proven technology, tailored for India’s wind conditions. The 3.15 MW turbines are among the largest in the country.

This project will enable O2 Power to supply electricity to 1.66 lakh households and reduce annual CO2 emissions by 6.55 lakh tonnes.

In another development, Suzlon Group announced a new order for a 31.5 MW wind power project for Integrum Energy Infrastructure Private Limited. Suzlon will install 15 units of their S120 – 140m wind turbine generators (WTGs) with a Hybrid Lattice Tubular (HLT) tower and a rated capacity of 2.1 MW each in Maharashtra and Karnataka. The project is expected to be commissioned in May 2024, providing electricity to approximately 20 thousand households and reducing emissions by about 0.81 lakh tonnes per year.

The project scope includes supply, installation, commissioning, and post-commissioning operation and maintenance services.

The power generated from this project will be used for captive consumption, promoting greater adoption of renewable energy in India. Suzlon is committed to building a sustainable India by powering the domestic economy with green energy,” the company stated.

Integrum Energy Infrastructure Private Limited expressed their commitment to creating a sustainable and carbon-neutral India and their pleasure in partnering with Suzlon, a leading renewable energy solutions provider with a strong track record in India.

Suzlon’s turbines utilize the Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) technology, a proven method that efficiently integrates wind turbines into the utility grid.

On Friday, Suzlon Energy shares closed at Rs.22.55, marking a 4.88% increase on NSE.
