On Wednesday, Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd (M&M Ltd) introduced a fresh wheel harvester as part of the Swaraj brand’s offerings in the domestic market. The brand’s goal is to secure a 15-20 percent market share in the wheel harvester segment over the long term, according to management statements.
The newly launched ‘Swaraj 8200 Wheel Harvester,’ produced at the company’s modern farm machinery facility in Pithampur near Indore, Madhya Pradesh, will be accessible to customers nationwide through its dealer network from the upcoming crop season.
Management noted that as the tractor industry has experienced unprecedented growth, the agricultural mechanization sector has also witnessed rapid expansion. Farmers are increasingly embracing mechanized techniques.
The ‘Swaraj 8200 Wheel Harvester’ is equipped with an internally developed TREM-IV compliant engine that ensures exceptional fuel efficiency. It boasts technologically advanced features previously unseen in the industry. The harvester’s intelligent system provides real-time information to machine operators, including live location tracking, metrics like harvested acres, distance traveled, and fuel usage. This aids in making informed decisions and enhancing operational efficiency.
Beyond offering alerts for vehicle service and health, the harvester’s system includes indicators for AdBlue levels and engine status. This real-time monitoring ability benefits equipment owners, farmers, and rental entrepreneurs, optimizing machine utilization and profitability, as per the company’s statements.
At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), M&M shares concluded Thursday’s trading at Rs. 1545.40, marking a 0.69% increase.
