CJ Roy, the founder and chairman of real estate major Confident Group, was found dead at his office in Bengaluru on Friday, according to the police.

Officials said the preliminary assessment points towards suicide, though the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the post-mortem examination.

Police sources stated that Roy sustained bullet injuries from his licensed firearm at his office near Richmond Circle, suggesting he may have shot himself.

After a gunshot was heard, employees rushed to his cabin and found him lying in a pool of blood.

He was immediately shifted to a hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
