After the builders in Gurugram, now more than 12 property dealers are also on the radar of the Income Tax Department. This includes both small and big property dealers. The Income Tax Department suspects these property dealers of tax evasion of Rs 1000 crore. The Income Tax Department believes that the property dealers did not deposit the tax in the department after buying and selling property in Farrukhnagar, Sultanpur, Sohna, Pataudi and Manesar areas. Information has been sought from the concerned tehsils by taking documents of land purchase and sale by the property dealers. After getting the information, the department will take action against them.

Income Tax Department officials are keeping a close watch on suspicious property purchase and sale transactions of builders and property dealers in the district. According to sources, the income tax details of both the buyer and seller of property worth more than Rs 50 lakh will be thoroughly examined. If any kind of irregularity or wrong information is found in this, it will be difficult to save such property.

If income tax sources are to be believed, tehsils have been asked to send information about the buyers’ name, address, PAN number, photocopies of all other documents submitted during the registry to the income tax department. A proper proforma has been prepared for this. On the basis of which income tax officers will investigate the property buyer. The income tax department suspects that property dealers have evaded tax worth Rs 1,000 crore.

Documents of property worth Rs 500 crore seized

An Income Tax Department official said that based on secret information, raids were conducted at the property dealer’s office adjacent to Maruti Company and his house in Palam Vihar and documents worth Rs 500 crore were seized. Names of many such people came to light in these documents

These are the people who have bought and sold land near Sultanpur, KMP and developed colonies. Information has been received about land purchase and sale worth more than five hundred crore rupees in 10 to 15 years. Information has been sought from the tehsil about in whose name these registrations were done. After matching the two, tax will be recovered from the concerned property dealer.

Officials are scrutinizing the registry records

According to the Income Tax Department, the records of all the properties bought and sold have been summoned to find out the properties more than the income. A letter has been written to the district administration asking for the list of properties worth more than 30 to 50 lakh rupees. But the Income Tax Department has prepared a list of dozens of people under its jurisdiction who had made purchases at a price of more than Rs 30 lakh. The entire record of buyers whose income is suspicious will be scrutinized.
