Chaudhary further clarified that there are no immediate direct tax proposals pending in this regard.

Moreover, it was conveyed that the BCCI does not receive any grants from the Ministry of Sports schemes. Additionally, responding to a separate inquiry, Chaudhary revealed that between July 2017 and June 2024, the Central Tax formations in Gujarat pursued 13,494 cases of GST evasion amounting to approximately Rs 52,394 crore, resulting in the apprehension of 214 individuals involved in the evasion.

This disclosure sheds light on the substantial GST revenue generated by the BCCI and the ongoing legal intricacies surrounding its tax exemption status, offering a comprehensive view of the financial and regulatory landscape encompassing the esteemed cricketing body.
