ITR file with late fee
If you come under income tax and have not yet filed ITR return for 2021-22, then you can complete this work by December 31 with late fees. If your annual income is less than five lakh rupees, then you will have to pay one thousand rupees as fine. On the other hand, if your earning is more than five lakh rupees, then you will have to pay a late fee of five thousand rupees. Therefore, before the end of the month of December, settle this work related to tax.
Correction in ITR
If you have made any mistake while filing income tax return for 2021-22, then you can rectify it by 31 December. You have to file revised return by 31st December. If you will not be able to do this work, then you will not get a chance to rectify the mistake. In such a situation, you may also get a notice from the Income Tax Department.
Taxpayers registered in GST have to file GSTR-9 annually after the end of every financial year. Revision returns have to be filed if required. Its last date for 2021-22 is 31 December. If you file the return after this date, then a fine of Rs 200 per day will be levied. It can go up to a maximum of 0.5 per cent of the turnover. GSTR-9C for taxpayers whose annual turnover is more than five crore rupees.
If you have to pay advance tax, and you could not pay till the last date of December 15, now there is a different rule for that. Such taxpayers whose annual tax is more than 10 thousand rupees. If he is not able to deposit 75 percent advance tax by December 15, then one percent interest will be charged. In case of payment of less than 75 per cent advance tax, interest of one per cent is also charged.
