Fellowships are being provided to full-time Ph.D. scholars researching AI in the top 50 NIRF-ranked institutes.

To enhance accessibility, Data and AI Labs are being established in Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities, with a model IndiaAI Data Lab already set up at National Institute of Electronics & Information Technology (NIELIT) Delhi.

Large-scale skilling initiatives under schemes such as PM Kaushal Vikas Yojana, under which 1.6 crore people have been trained, are being aligned with emerging industry needs.

More than 200 new-age skill courses have been approved by the National Council for Vocational Education and Training, and 29 new-age courses have been introduced under the Craftsmen Training Scheme in ITIs.

Recent Union Budgets have further advanced this agenda through announcements such as the setting up of 5 National Centres of Excellence for Skilling, launch of a new centrally sponsored scheme and upgradation of 1000 Industrial Training Institutes, etc.
