Account holders note that if you have any standing instructions or schedule payments, remove them first. The banks which are being merged are as follows –
Syndicate Bank merged with Canara Bank
Allahabad Bank merged with Indian Bank
Merger of both Vijaya Bank and Dena Bank with Bank of Baroda
After the merger of banks into public sectors, IFSC codes of many banks have changed. Now the old IFSC codes will not be valid for online banking.
The merged list includes Syndicate Bank, Allahabad Bank, Dena Bank, United Bank of India, Vijaya Bank, Oriental Bank of Commerce, Andhra Bank and Corporation Bank. Now the account holders of these banks will have to change their old IFSC code. Otherwise the account holders will not be able to use the facility of any online banking transaction. Therefore account holders from these banks will have to remove the beneficiary from the list of payees from the online banking web portal. Account holders can register for the new IFSC code through the portals of these banks.
