The new system introduced in the country to deal with those who cheat the system through fake CA certificates is proving to be effective. The Unique Document Identification Number (UDIN) created by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) is being generated rapidly. According to the information, not only in bank audit but also in government tenders, people used to certify the documents by becoming fake CAs.

ICAI President Aniket Sunil Talati told ‘Hindustan’ that about 5 crore such UIDNs have been generated in the country till April 12 this year. And 1.38 lakh members have registered. UDIN has been made mandatory for all types of certification, GST and tax audit reports and other audits. Also, it has been made necessary for such attestation works to be signed by full time Chartered Accountants.

Solution to the problems of the portal continues Aniket Talati said that ICAI has given various suggestions to the government regarding the problems being faced in the portal. The work of implementing these suggestions is going on continuously. Along with this, a call center has also been started in which professionals are getting solutions by talking about their problems.
