CBDT issues refunds of over Rs. 1.14 lakh crore to more than 1.97 crore taxpayers between 1st April, 2022 to 31st Aug, 2022.
Income tax refunds of Rs. 61,252 crore have been issued in 1,96,00,998 cases &corporate tax refunds of Rs. 53,158 crore have been issued in 1,46,871 cases
Know your ITR Refund Status User Manual
1] Login at the direct income tax e-filing portal link — https://eportal.incometax.gov.in/iec/foservices/#/login;
2] Login using User ID and Password;
3] Go to ‘My Account’ and click at ‘Refund/Demand Status’;
4] Go to the drop down menu, select ‘Income Tax Returns’ and click on the ‘Submit’ option;5] Click on your acknowledge number;
6] A new webpage will get opened where all your ITR details will get opened including date of issuing a refund.
