The Central Bureau of Investigation has arrested a Senior Divisional Mechanical Engineer, Diesel Locoshed, West Central Railway, Itarsi (Madhya Pradesh) for demanding & accepting bribe of Rs. 50,000/- from the Complainant.
A case was registered on complaint against Sr. DME, Diesel Locoshed, West Central Railway, Itarsi (MP). It was alleged that the accused demanded bribe of Rs. 3,50,000/- from the Complainant for taking him on job as peon. CBI led a trap and caught the accused while accepting bribe of Rs. 50,000/- from the Complainant.
Searches were conducted at the premises of the accused which led to recovery of incriminating documents/ articles.
The arrested accused is being produced today before the Special Judge for CBI Cases at Bhopal.
