Benchmark indices ended in the red amid high volatility. Sensex dropped 1023 points to end at 57621.19 points. Nifty dropped 302.7 points to close at 17213.60. Except for PSU Bank Index, rest of the sectoral indices were in the red. Nifty Financial services, Nifty Private Bank, Nifty Auto, and Nifty FMCG were the worst performing sectors.
