The Kenyan government and Tata Chemicals Magadi Limited (TCML) have established a technical panel to address the Magadi matter, under a framework agreed between the parties.
Under the agreed framework, the committee will be led by the Principal Secretary for Mining on behalf of the Kenyan ministry and the Chief Executive Officer of TCML on behalf of the company.
The arrangement creates a formal mechanism for discussions between the government and TCML regarding the Magadi matter, with implications for regulatory engagement, oversight, and stakeholder interests, including investors and regulators.
